Ability to Create 2022: Next Level - A Sensory Exhibition
This year's Ability to Create (ATC) Sensory Exhibition, certainly was NEXT LEVEL, with over 900 people attending the 3 day exhibition program. Eighty plus local artists participated in the exhibition, including Second Echo Ensemble, Langford Support Services , Possability, Life Without Barriers, Mosaic Support Services, The Parkside Foundation, as well as many individual artists.
We were able to go to the NEXT LEVEL because of invaluable funding support from Arts Tasmania. This funding enabled the City of Hobart to engage 3 lead artists Edith Perrenot, Alex Moss and Joel Roberts, with assistance from Maggie Jeffries to work with and support the Ability to Create artists. Second Echo Ensemble was the lead mentor organisation.
This exhibition was the celebration of creativity, accessibility and inclusivity with additions of a tactile map, audio descriptions and captions to enable everyone to fully experience the exhibition. There was a market place for artists to directly sell their work, a full program of performances and interactive workshops throughout the 3 days.
